ASIC Seeks Externally Managed Data Analytics Service For Financial Stats

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) wants a central location for its Strategic Intelligence team to find and analyze financial and economic data from national and international organizations.

By publishing a Tender Request (RFT) at the end of 2017, ASIC is looking for a provider that provides and manages the platform, which will include the consolidation of data such as financial and economic information, as well as statistics and news from individual companies and markets.

ASIC wants to host the terminal locally at its Sydney offices, but wants it to be connected to the contractor's system through an external standard Internet connection instead of through the ASIC intranet.

It is a condition of the offer that data, reports, spreadsheets and other associated files be transferable to ASIC Intranet virtual machines via email or other standard digital service.

The installation, configuration and maintenance of the dedicated physical computer terminal will be the responsibility of the contractor.

The RFT also stipulates that the service must allow automated, regular or ad-hoc, scheduled or real-time data transfers to ASIC through FTP services, email or other digital services, and must provide users with an API or a Microsoft Office plug. -ins to allow the automation and design of data downloads.

The service must allow the exchange of data, reports, spreadsheets and other files of the contractor internally through ASIC, and must allow the feeding of data from the service to the ASIC databases and the enterprise content management system .

The corporate regulator also asked the contractor to manage the security elements of the offer, requesting compliance with the Commonwealth Protective Security Policy Framework defined by the Australian Signals Authority.

"ASIC will not publish the contractor's raw data," says the RFT. "However, ASIC should be allowed to externally publish aggregated, summarized or processed data from the contractor on a non-periodic basis and with the appropriate recognition of the contractor."

The Australian government's independent agency has also requested that unplanned outages cover no more than one day.

Specifically, ASIC wishes to collect information on foreign exchange markets in Australia, such as share prices and indices, market limits, actions on issues, volumes and billing; as well as information on capital and debt capital increase. He wants similar information about foreign exchange markets.

Rates and cross-currency volumes, spreads of credit default swaps and interest rate reference points; as well as balance sheets, income statements, capital reserves and information about the company's auditors are also required by ASIC for both national and international entities.

He wants access to information on managed investment schemes, including hedge funds, as well as debt data, including the issue, outstanding amounts and subscribers.

The contract will be granted for an initial period of two years, with three options to extend for one year each, which will be applied at the discretion of ASIC.

Cisco 300-360 Qestion Answer

Which three recommendations must be taken into consideration when an engineer is installing a new Voice WLAN? (Choose three.)

A. Use the Cisco wireless phone site survey client utility.
B. Use a separate Cisco Wireless Lan Controller.
C. Enable load balance on voice WLANs.
D. Maintain -67dBM as a minimal RSSI.
E. Set data for 2.4 GHz and voice for 5 GHz using separate SSIDs.
F. Enable lower data rates for 2.4-GHz data WLAN.

Answer: ADE

An engineer is assigned to replace an older data-grade autonomous wireless network with a Cisco controller-based wireless network to meet Voice over WLAN
needs. The customer also wants all existing cable infrastructure to be reused and no new cable be specified. How should the engineer respond to the customer’s requirements?

A. Implement the wireless network with the restraints and decrease the TPC neighbor threshold to increase Tx power to provide overlapping cell coverage at sufficient SNR to provide for Voice over WLAN service.
B. Implement the wireless network with the restraints and utilize high-gain antenna to provide overlapping cell coverage at sufficient SNR to provide for Voice over WLAN service.
C. Inform the customer that the network will not likely function as desired and a post install survey with the possibility of some new cable would be recommended.
D. Inform the customer that it is not possible to provide coverage and quality for Voice over WLAN using existing AP locations and an entire overbuild will be necessary.
